Join Ocean School and GreenLearning for a highly-interactive plastic upcycling workshop!

Ocean School and GreenLearning are hosting a highly-interactive plastic upcycling workshop. Participants will explore how they interact with plastics and take part in a collaborative upcycling workshop using plastics and recyclables from their school/home to find creative design-based solutions for keeping plastic out of the environment. Learners and educators will leave the session with tools and resources for continuing their plastic reuse and reduce journey, as well as a feeling of connection to the collective actions being taken towards combating the Plastic Problem.

Dans cet atelier sur le recyclage du plastique, rejoignez comme invitée Zoie, experte en plastique de l'équipe Trash Team de l'université de Toronto. Lors de cet événement, les participants auront l'occasion d'échanger avec l’invitée, de profiter de son expertise et d'acquérir des connaissances précieuses sur l'impact de la pollution plastique sur l'environnement. Les participants auront également l'occasion de partager les créations de l'événement du 4 avril et d'obtenir un retour direct de notre expert. Les participants repartiront avec une compréhension globale du problème du plastique et des solutions pratiques pour y remédier.

Ocean School and GreenLearning are excited to present a special edition of their plastic upcycling workshop featuring guest speaker and plastics expert Zoie, from the University of Toronto’s Trash Team. In this event, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the guest speaker, learn from their expertise, and gain valuable insights into the impact of plastic pollution on the environment. Participants will also have the opportunity to share creations from the April 4th event and get direct feedback from our expert. Attendees will leave with a comprehensive understanding of the plastic problem and practical solutions for addressing it.

Dr. Zoie Diana is an expert from the University of Toronto Trash Team. Steven Bernucci is an Instructional Designer for Ocean School and Jacob Parliament is an engagement Manager for GreenLearning. They all share a passion for the environment through education.
