Alanna will be streaming live from Honduras on Feb 9th @ 1 ET! She's in Honduras diving on their coral reefs to understand the threats they face and what we can do to help! Meet Alanna!
Alanna Canaran is a passionate science communicator and ocean educator currently working as a science producer for Ocean School. Alanna is also a PADI scuba diving instructor, mermaid instructor, and host of "Jump In," a Canadian TV show about women and diving. Her love of the ocean fuels her mission to bridge the gap between ocean literacy and the wider public. Alanna will be talking about coral bleaching and her experiences diving in Roatan, Honduras to inspire youth to take action and make a promise for the ocean.
Exploring By The Seat of Your Pants is a virtual education non-profit which coordinates 40+ monthly live, free, interactive programs connecting scientists and explorers globally with classrooms! In February, they're commemorating the International Day of Women in STEM by running a whole month featuring solely incredible women in science - from jellyfish biologists to NASA engineers, global health experts to coding all stars and more!
