A love letter to the ocean

All life depends on the ocean. As a carbon sink, the ocean holds 50 times more carbon than the atmosphere. This poem, written by marine biologist Helen Scales and narrated by Sarika Cullis-Suzuki, explores the vital role the ocean plays in the carbon cycle, and in regulating Earth's climate. Take a moment to pause and reflect on the beauty of the ocean, and all that it does for us.
