Last fish, first boat

When the Canadian government shut down the cod fishery in 1992, fisherman Eugene Maloney, from Bay Bulls, Newfoundland, turned to boatbuilding. Now in his eighties, Gene's self-taught boatbuilding practice symbolizes resilience and adaptation amidst economic challenges.
